Pinnacle Peak Loop

4.4-mile loop trail near Buckley, Washington. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 11 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are January through November.

This loop starts and ends at the Southern Trailhead parking lot and takes you to Pinnacle Peak. The area is mostly wooded, but there are a few viewpoints along the way offering views of the valley and Mount Rainier. Be prepared for technical sections with steep parts, rock scrambles, switchbacks, roots, and several muddy water crossings.
